For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

We believe that serving is not just a choice but a divine calling. We all have unique gifts and talents given to us by God, like special abilities and strengths that are intended for use in His service. These spiritual gifts can include things like teaching, encouraging, helping, and more. Here are some simple steps to help you recognize your spiritual gifts and discern where God is leading you to serve.

Step 1: Explore Your Spiritual Gifts

Start by understanding your spiritual gifts. We offer a variety of assessment tools to assist you:

Step 2: Discover and Serve

Pray for revelation; God often reveals our gifts through the Holy Spirit, Scripture, and the affirmation of fellow believers. Consider your interests and explore how they align with our various ministry opportunities at First Baptist Madison.

Step 3: Utilize Your Gifts

Once you've identified your spiritual gifts, it's time to put them into action. We are all encouraged to "give our spiritual gifts away" through service.

Step 4: Pursue Spiritual Growth

Your spiritual journey is an ongoing process of growth. You began your journey when you accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, but your call continues - to grow in Christlikeness throughout your life. Our spiritual growth is encouraged through the F.I.R.S.T. Lifestyles

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

At First Baptist Madison, we invite you to explore your spiritual gifts, serve with your unique talents, and join us on this transformative journey of spiritual growth. Together, we can fulfill God's calling and make a difference in our church and community.
