FBC Madison operates an internal SMS notification system through its Pastoral Care Ministry application. This system is used exclusively by paid church staff and ministers to coordinate pastoral care visits, follow-up assignments, and ministry notifications. It is a closed system and is not open to the general public.
How to Opt In
Staff members who have been entered into the Pastoral Care application by an authorized administrator may activate SMS alerts by texting the keyword JOIN to (877) 748-2967 from their registered cell phone number.
Upon texting JOIN, the recipient will receive an automatic confirmation message in the following form:
"You're now subscribed to FBC Madison Pastoral Care alerts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help."
Opt-in consent is recorded with a date and timestamp in our secure database.
Message frequency varies based on pastoral care activity. Messages are sent only when a pastoral care assignment, follow-up reminder, or ministry notification is generated within the application.
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to Opt Out
