Whether you are a long-time member of First Baptist Madison or a newcomer to our church and community, we hope that you will find a place to grow, connect, and serve in the many areas of ministry we offer. Women’s Ministry is designed to help a woman develop in her Christian Lifestyle. That includes ongoing spiritual enrichment through group and personal Bible study and activities inside and outside the church. In the past, the women have also attended conferences sponsored by our church, association, state and national organizations.

Statement of Purpose
The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Madison seeks to bring glory to God by:

  • Involving women of all ages and walks of life in building relationships within the body of Christ.
  • Offering Bible studies, activities, and special events that will encourage spiritual growth and fellowship.
  • Equipping women to use their gifts and talents for service within the church as well as the community.

“…that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Walk Worthy Ladies' Event

Monday, August 23 at 6:00pm

FBC Women's Ministry is pleased to welcome Carrie Bevell Partridge to our Walk Worthy Ladies' Event. Make plans now to join us for a night of fun, food, inspiration, and fellowship centered around Colossians 1:10, which states: "Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord".

Carrie Bevell Partridge has a heart to see families grow in relationship with each other and with God the Father. She and her husband Kevin met at Mississippi College and have been married for 23 years--time that has been marked by their desire to follow Jesus and make disciples through college ministry, church planting, leading house churches, and parenting. They have five children, two of whom they adopted from Colombia in 2016. Carrie is a writer who focuses on words of encouragement and support for marriage and family; she writes about her own family experiences and what God is teaching her through them. Her column, "Growth Spurts: Growing Through Motherhood," ran in Parents & Kids Magazine for a decade, and she continues to be a regular contributor to the publication. She also contributes to the Ministry to Parents blog and has had articles published in BabyLife and ParentLife magazines. She is in the process of writing a book on seizing teachable moments with your kids in everyday life. You can read her work on carriebevellpartridge.com, where you can also subscribe to her emails.
