Mission Polo – Hispaniola Mountain Ministries

Medical Mission Journey (COVID testing may be required for travel for mission journeys.)
We will continue serving the people of Polo by meeting their medical needs on this mission journey. During this journey, we will host a free medical clinic and we will pass out rice and beans to the community. Throughout the whole trip, we will look for opportunities to share the Gospel and point people towards the local church in Polo. Although it will be valuable for our work, medical experience is not necessary for this journey. We will need people to serve in various ways throughout the mission. We are thankful for the opportunity to meet the physical needs of the people of Polo and for the chance to see God bring people to salvation.

Immanuel Community Church

Construction Mission Journey
FBC Madison will be sending a team to aid Immanuel Community Church in the construction of their new building. Immanuel Community Church has met in temporary locations for about four years, and now they are preparing to have a permanent location in the heart of New Orleans. The church is hoping to start construction very soon, giving our church a great opportunity to come alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ and help them to reach their community with the Gospel. This journey will involve a lot of construction work and manual labor, so we are looking for a team with a skill set that will be useful in that context; however, all are welcome and can be used in some way on the trip! We will be working with the Louisiana Baptist Convention to decide on a date for this journey. More information will come on how to be a part of this work in New Orleans. Our church is thankful for God’s work through Immanuel Community Church.
Dates: TBD
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Operation Christmas Child

Shoebox Processing Center Mission Journey
Our church will be sending a group of people to help deliver and inspect Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Each year, millions of shoeboxes are sent in during National Collection Week. Before being shipped around the world, the shoeboxes must be carefully examined. About 80,000 people serve annually at processing centers around the United States to prepare the shoeboxes for delivery. Team members must be at least thirteen years old to be eligible for this journey. There is a place for everyone who meets the age requirement to serve on this journey so that the Gospel will be proclaimed to children of the nations!
