Thank you for your interest in First Baptist Madison’s Preschool and Children’s Ministry. Psalm 1:3 says, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” We want to help you plant seeds of faith into your child and watch God grow them in faith.

First Baptist Madison loves children and we seek to provide quality teaching and loving guidance each time your child comes to church. We offer foundational teaching with fun activities to help them grow like Jesus grew: spiritually, socially, physically, mentally, and emotionally (Luke 2:52). We partner with parents to help them become all God calls them to become (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

Your children are a big deal to us and an even bigger deal to God. Each Sunday morning, our Bible Fellowship Groups feature leaders who love children, interactive learning, and activities to help children learn about the love that God has for each of them.
We invest in the next generation by developing future leaders for Christ—who will reach Madison and the world with His love.

Nursery (Birth–One Year)

A loving and nurturing nursery environment is provided, allowing parents to relax and enjoy our worship service. Your child is special to us and we will strive to make your child’s first impression of church a positive one.

Bible Fellowship Groups
  • We strive to make Sunday mornings the best hour of every child’s week. First Baptist Madison loves children and we seek to provide quality teaching and loving guidance each time a child comes to church. We have age-graded classes at 9:00 & 10:30 am.
  • We create a fun, interactive environment where your child will engage in crafts, playtime, and hear about a great God who loves them.

Worship
  • Preschool Care is available at all Worship Services.

B.L.A.S.T.
  • Our Wednesday night program for K3- K5 children is a mixture of Bible study, Missions, Music, and play time. Preschoolers should be dropped off at 6:00 and picked up by 7:30 in their rooms in the Preschool hallway.  Check-in at the Information Desk.  

2:52kids

Children (1-5 Grade) will experience Children's Worship Choir, Small Group discussion, and game time. Drop off in the worship room (Room 120) at 6:00pm for Children's Worship Choir, then go to classrooms for Small Group and end in the gym, where they will be picked up at 7:30pm.


Preschool Choir
  • Children (K3-K5) meet during B.L.A.S.T at 6:00 pm on Wednesday nights during the school year. Contact Ross Johnson for more information.

Parent & Child Dedication
  • Offered during our morning worship service several times a year
  • During this service, parents promise before God and the church to raise their child in a Christian home.

Kid'[email protected] Learning Center

Volunteering (VIP)
  • Volunteers in Preschool are a group of volunteers who work one Sunday each month.
  • Contact Billy Hollingsworth for more information or to become a VIP.
  • We strive to make Sunday mornings the best hour of every child’s week. FBC Madison loves children and we seek to provide quality teaching and loving guidance each time a child comes to church. We have age-grade classes at 9:00 am.
  • We provide a joyful, safe environment for your children, and our commitment to age-relevant ministry will have your child engaging in Bible lessons and activities that will meet them where they are. We prepare and teach them to live lives that will honor their parents and God.


Worship

  • We encourage families of first graders and up to take their children with them to worship.


Choir

  • On Wednesday nights during 252Kids at 6:00 pm and during the school year.

2:52Kids

  • For grades 1-5
  • Wednesday nights at 6:00-7:30 pm
  • Includes large group worship, small group discussion, and a game time.


Camp

  • Each summer, children in 3rd-5th grades have the opportunity to attend a week of camp at Lake Forest Ranch in Macon, MS.
  • Sometimes we have to get away from home and out of our comfort zone to really listen to God and grow in Him.
  • Camp will provide Bible study, worship and fun activities.

VBS (Vacation Bible School)
  • The best week of the summer!
  • Children enjoy a summer Bible learning experience like no other. Don’t miss out on the worship, Bible study, music, and more fun.
