First Baptist Children's Center is an integral part of the total ministry of the church. It is a program that provides conditions that enable a child to realize his own God given potentialities. It is a program which develops children, not one which only provides custodial care. The center provides an atmosphere and environment for younger children that will help them begin in happy, healthy, caring surroundings.

In the center we offer childcare for infants through four year olds, a mother's day out program for one, two, and three year olds, a four year old morning preschool program, and after school care through grade five. A planned curriculum is offered for all ages. It includes activities that provide for individual differences, first-hand experiences, and activities that enhance self-concept. Our goal is to provide each child with adequate stimulation for physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Most importantly, this program does incorporate a curriculum that enables a child to become himself - the person God intended that child to be.
