History tells us that there has never been a great spiritual movement without great music. Something precious to God is embodied in the singing of His people. It is certain that a place of worship ought to ring with the voices of God's people in praise. That is our goal in the music ministry of First Baptist Church, Madison. Our Music Ministry includes: an Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Children's Choirs from age 3 through 6th grade, Worship service orchestra, Adult handbell choir, seven auditioned vocal ensembles, drama and banner teams, and many talented soloists. Music is wrapping up the message and power of God and placing it in the heart. What a blessed privilege it is to lift praise to the One who is music Himself.

Adult Choir - Our Adult choir rehearses each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Child care is provided during this time. This choir serves as worship leaders in our morning worship services. The only requirements for this group are a willing heart and a desire to praise our Lord. We also provide a Senior Adult choir for our older adults each Wednesday at 9:30 am.

Children's Choirs - We provide a choir for each individual age group, 3 years old through 6th grade. These choirs meet each Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the new Preschool and Children's building.

Instrumental - Our Worship service orchestra is open to any 8th grader and older. A working knowledge of your particular instrument is needed. This group rehearses each Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Additional rehearsals are scheduled as needed. Our handbell choir is a select group and rehearses each Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.

Ensembles - Our Adult and Youth ensembles are auditioned groups from their particular age group choir, either the Adult or Youth choir. You must be a member of the choir to audition for an ensemble. These groups sing for worship services and for other functions in the community and surrounding area.
