Fusion Student Ministry is based on one philosophy: Love God, Love Others, Be Loved.
We are going to love God in all we do. Whether we’re diving into The Word on Sunday morning or hanging out as a student ministry on a trip, we will love God. Loving others will also be on the forefront of our minds at all times. The love of Christ will be shown through us to anyone from a newcomer to Fusion Worship on Wednesdays to helping a senior adult by raking their yard. Finally, as a student ministry, we want to be loved. We want to teach our students to not only be loved by their Eternal Father, but others around them, at Fusion fellowships and church-wide worship, as well.
Alan is the father to 2 amazing girls and has an incredible wife. He has been involved in student ministry for over 20 years. Alan has several favorites: coffee, U2, LSU, the New Orleans Saints, the New York Yankees, and of course smiling is my favorite. He enjoys running, and he used to run faster. Alan played soccer while attending Mississippi College, and has 2 degrees (MACE and DedMin) from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He’s lived in Mississippi for most of his life. He loves working with students and serving the Lord. Alan’s life verse is 1 Corinthians 10:31, even though he struggles to do what it says. The Fusion staff would love to get to meet you and get to know you. If you do not have a church home come visit us as we attempt to live out our Purpose Statement of Love God, Love Others, and Be Loved.
As a native from Memphis, TN, Chip Wilson has worked with our church for the past three years. He attends Mississippi College, and will be a Senior this fall. Chip has served on the Executive Council at MC, and will hold the position of President Elect of the student body the 2014-2015 school year. Pursuing a degree in Spanish, he plans on starting an orphanage in the Dominican Republic post graduation. Chip enjoys listening to Taylor Swift, and quotes her almost every time he speaks in a public forum.
Catherine Falvey is from Madison MS and she is a junior at Mississippi College. She is currently a business major with a minor in communications. Catherine is actively involved on her campus doing things such as being apart of Mississippi College’s orientation leaders and holding an officer position in her social tribe, Nenamoosha. Her favorite band is Coldplay, and she absolutely loves basketball. Her job at First Baptist is something she cherishes and she hopes to continue in the ministry in whichever way she is called.
